Proven. Committed. Leadership.
For more than a decade, Dr. Dionne Hoskins-Brown has shown up for Savannah–Chatham County schools with integrity, clarity, and results. Now, she is running for School Board President to continue strengthening public education for every student, every family, and every community across Chatham County.
Now, more than ever, a quality education is the pathway to a high quality of life and personal independence. I want to lead the district in service of everyone in Chatham County. I want to address the needs of all of students- those whose talents are emerging and those who are already experiencing high achievement. So many of us have benefitted from the legacy of quality education in Savannah. I want to give more, do more, to make sure that our children receive the very best we have to offer.
Why I’m Running
Our Priorities
-
Innovation should be used intentionally to improve outcomes for every student, not just a few. Dr. Hoskins-Brown supports thoughtful investments in instruction, staffing, technology, and partnerships that are proven to work. By using data, research, and community collaboration, the district can raise achievement for students who need additional support while continuing to challenge students who are already excelling.
-
Career education and CTAE programs provide many students with a direct pathway to self-reliance and long-term prosperity. Building on existing district successes, Dr. Hoskins-Brown supports strong partnerships with organizations such as Savannah Technical College, labor unions, and apprenticeship programs. These partnerships help ensure students gain access to high-demand skills that will drive the jobs of the future, including advanced manufacturing, programmable logic controllers, and emerging technologies like artificial intelligence. Just as important, she supports efforts to ensure students are aware of and able to take full advantage of training and employment opportunities.
-
Students and employees do their best work in environments built on trust, inclusion, and open communication. Dr. Hoskins-Brown believes schools should be places where concerns can be raised respectfully, critical feedback is welcomed, and retaliation has no place. She will continue to support district efforts that meet the diverse needs of families and schools across the county while honoring the unique communities that exist within each school.
Thoughtful Leadership. Rooted in Community.
Dr. Dionne Hoskins-Brown is a proven, steady leader with deep experience serving our public schools. She is running for School Board President to put students first, strengthen accountability, and provide trusted leadership for every community across Chatham County.
